Lectric Ebikes has once again made a bold move in the electric bike industry, this time reinforcing its position as the leader in the cargo e-bike category with the release of the upgraded XPedition 2.0.
The original XPedition was already a massive success, offering unbeatable value in the fast-growing cargo e-bike segment. Now, the Phoenix-based brand is doubling down on that success with a range of significant enhancements in the second-generation model—all while maintaining the same priceas the original. “The XPedition has been the top-selling cargo e-bike since its launch, thanks to its exceptional combination of performance and value,” said Levi Conlow, CEO and Co-Founder of Lectric Ebikes. “With the XPedition 2.0, we're strengthening that value proposition. Even in a year when many e-bike prices have gone up, we’ve added substantial upgrades without increasing the cost—something we believe will only boost the continued success of this model.” ![]()
The XPedition 2.0 is designed to handle nearly any cargo, thanks to its extended rear rack and a redesigned frame with a 450 lb weight capacity. Whether it's extra gear or additional passengers, this bike can handle it all, with the flexibility to switch between cargo carrying and passenger seating.
But the real story here is the array of upgrades added to the XPedition 2.0. The new model features a custom-designed torque sensor for smoother, more responsive pedal assist. However, throttle enthusiasts need not worry—there’s still the option to ride using the throttle, allowing for either an effortless ride or a more engaging pedal assist experience. Under the hood, the XPedition 2.0 is powered by a 750W M24 hub motor with a peak output of 1,310W. This means enhanced acceleration and hill-climbing power, even when the bike is fully loaded with cargo or passengers. ![]()
Other upgrades include a wider, more stable kickstand, narrower 2.5-inch tires for improved maneuverability, and a new 50mm dual-spring suspension fork that offers adjustable damping for a smoother ride. Additionally, a suspension seat post ensures comfort for the rider, not just their hands.
On the handlebars, a new color display has been added, along with updated bolt-on grips and controls for the new turn signals. In terms of power, the XPedition 2.0 offers three battery options, allowing riders to choose their desired range. The largest option, a 35Ah battery, provides an impressive 1.68 kWh capacity, offering up to 170 miles (273.6 km) per charge with pedal assist. Throttle riders can expect about half that range, which is still one of the longest ranges in the cargo e-bike market. All batteries are UL-compliant for safety, giving peace of mind to riders concerned about battery reliability. To ensure that large battery capacities can charge quickly, Lectric has introduced a new 5-amp fast charger that cuts charging time by 60% compared to the standard charger. ![]()
The base model of the XPedition 2.0, features a 624Wh battery. For a longer range, the dual battery model, with 1,248Wh of capacity. For the longest-range options, the dual long-range battery model, with an enormous 1,680Wh capacity.
The XPedition 2.0 is available in two colors: Stratus White and Raindrop Blue. Across all models, it comes equipped with powerful hydraulic disc brakes, a Shimano 8-speed transmission, fenders, and other high-quality components. During the pre-order period, Lectric is offering a generous package of free accessories worth several hundred dollars, including running boards, seat cushions, frame bags, and upgraded lighting, making it an even better deal for early buyers.
