What Ebikes Qualify at Boost EBikes
Not every Ebike on the market qualifies — but Boost EBikes carries multiple models that do. To be eligible, an Ebike must meet the state’s requirements:
UL‑Certified - The bike must meet UL 2849 or EN 15194 safety standards. Most qualifying bikes have a UL certification logo on the battery.
New Ebike - Used or refurbished bikes are not eligible.
750W Motor or Less - All Boost EBikes models fall within this limit.
Two or Three Wheels + Pedals - Must be a true electric bicycle — not a moped or gas‑powered vehicle.
Class 1, 2, or 3 - Boost EBikes carries all three classes:
Class 1 - Pedal‑assist only, up to 20 mph
Class 2 - Throttle and/or pedal‑assist, up to 20 mph
Class 3 - Pedal‑assist only, up to 28 mph
