Commencing April 1, 2024, residents of Colorado can benefit from an e-bike tax credit provided by the State of Colorado. Eligible Coloradans will enjoy a $450 reduction on qualifying e-bike purchases directly at the point of sale, available through participating retailers statewide. It's important to note that not all retailers are part of this initiative, so individuals are advised to verify participation and the availability of the $450 discount with respective retailers.
Under this program, Colorado residents are entitled to receive the discount for the purchase of one (1) e-bike per calendar year from a participating retailer. It's essential to highlight that the purchaser remains liable for the full payment of sales tax on the e-bike, irrespective of whether the discount surpasses the bike's retail price.
